Hi Friends!
It's been SO long since my first blog entry... I was going to try and make a better effort these past few months, but I decided to live it up and soak in all I could in my last few months of college! (I guess I was too busy LIVING my life to update my internet blog and talk about the fun stuff I got to do. haha) Yes, I am now a college graduate! Crazy, isn't it? I have dreamed of being done with school for as long as I can remember, and now that I'm actually done... well, let's just say it's been 2 weeks since graduation and I already miss it. To all of you students out there-- don't blink! It goes by so fast! Enjoy every minute you can, and try to be content with where you are at. I know it can be frustrating to be stuck in class, but that stability you have while in school is really a blessing-- no matter what grade or level you are at. (A lot of times it's a blessing in disguise, but still a great big blessing!) I had people tell me that ALL. THE. TIME. when I was in school, did I ever REALLY listen? No. So I'm sure most of you will be no different than I was, but if you can-- just take a minute and smile while you think of all the great things you are accomplishing while in school. Be thankful for it and don't forget to be proud of yourself for dedicating time and energy to your studies. My Nana always tells me, an education is something no one will ever be able to take away from you. That is so true! The things you learn through school are priceless... I'm not talking about the books you have to read and stupid crap we all HATE doing just because of school- but the way you grow because you are in school. I often forgot that being in school was just a way for me to challenge and better myself, to really try and become the person I have always dreamed of being. I will forever consider myself a student of life, but not being able to fill out "student" in the blank of forms where it says "job/occupation" is VERY different after 19 years of being in school!!
So, you may ask "What's next?" That's a great question... and my answer??
I HAVE NO CLUE.
I have forever had the dream of going into Musical Theatre and being able to perform for a living. That dream is still strongly a part of MY life plan... Whether that's the plan God has for me, well if any of you know, please tell me because I would LOVE to know what the Big Guy is thinking! :) I've been auditioning and working on my craft daily, and I love it more than ever. But this "business" isn't for the faint of heart, let me tell you. I'm up for a challenge, though! Ready to tackle this beast and throw it down by the horns! Grrrrrrr.... you never thought I was ferocious, did you?? (I'll be honest, neither did I.)But!! WATCH OUT! Here I come!!
Anyways! I am trusting God's perfect plan for my life, taking every chance I can get, working on being confident in my ability and remembering that I am enough. Remembering to stop and smell the flowers and NEVER forgetting that I am the most blessed girl on earth!!! There is no doubt in my mind about that.
Oh! and by the way... I'm starting a design company... if any of you people see all the silly little treasure box trinkets I make as my therapy late at night... I'm going to start selling them soon! So be on the lookout!
I send my love to you all and hope the start of your summer is a bright one! Fight On!
... Marina Lynn.

First Blog!
Wow! I've kind of always wanted to start blogging, but I never felt like I had the time to dedicate myself to yet ANOTHER internet phenomenon. We'll see how much I keep up with this site, but as my life is started to expand and change within these next few months, I thought it'd be a great place to share my thoughts and update people on my life!
So! The quick update of Marina Lynn's current life...
I am in my LAST undergraduate semester at the University of Southern California- in May I will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, so exciting! Yet, SO SCARY! I feel like I've been in school forever, and now it's going to be over... maybe. I am currently in the School of Theatre Musical, On the Town- directed by the AMAZING John Rubinstein. The show opens March 31st and runs two weeks, through April 10. Make sure you come out and see it! It'll be a great show!
Other than school and the musical, my life has been fairly simple, pretty normal... whatever that means. I am consistently reminded of how God has blessed me by amazing family and wonderful friends that support me in all I do and inspire me to live out my dreams. I keep dreaming up different things I want my life to hold... there are soooooo many dreams, hopefully at least one will come true. :) I'm sure as I keep blogging you'll hear about all the crazy ideas I have! I'm constantly growing... in big and small ways... and I try to think of ways to keep making this life an even more wonderful one! :) I do believe in fairy tales, and I think that in the end, we all should choose to live happily ever after.
There is my random first blog post! I hope you enjoy this last little quote I came across today... I think it's a good one-- reminds you to keep growing and living life to the fullest! <3
"There is a place deep in your soul where a little seed rests. This seed is your amazing potential. Each time you push yourself, each time you breathe a true deep breath, each time you reach your hands to the stars, you nourish that little seed and feed your soul." --Karen Tye
Love Always,
